About

I am now a Post-Doc at the Worcester Polytechnique Institute (WPI), where i work with Dmitry Berenson on Humanoid Motion Planning.
See my PhD defence on youtube here:
In 2012, i joined the GEPETTO group at LAAS/CNRS as a Ph.D. candidate under the supervision of Olivier Stasse and Florent Lamiraux. I am currently affiliated with the Institut National Polytechnique de Toulouse.
Between September and December 2014, i was visiting researcher at the Statistical Learning and Motor Control Lab in Edinburgh, UK.
Before joining the team, i studied Computer Science and Electrical Engineering at the TU Berlin, and was research assistant at the Robotics and Biology Laboratory and the Machine Learning and Robotics Lab, respectively.

Research Areas and Interests

Conceptually, my research focuses on understanding how humanoid robots can perform arbitrary movements in arbitrary environments, as fast and as flexible as a human being would perform them.
My background is in general robotics and machine learning and in my research i am applying tools from convex optimization, functional and topological data analysis to come up with novel motion planning algorithms.
